Started JM Body Revolution today

I have a couple questions. First off the meal plan appears to be geared more to ladies, I was wondering if any men that have completed this have any tips. Also, watching the video JM says that the workout should be completed in the morning before you start your day. Is this really required? I usually do my workouts after I get home from work as I have to get up a 4am to get ready for work.
