Hello!

Hi,

This is my first time at MFP. I am a 31 year old mother. Weight has always been an issue for me ever since I can remember. I grew up in the 80's before parents were told rewarding your children with food wasn't a good idea...so I got junk food constantly and it has been a part of my life since. The only times I think I have ever lost weight were during my 2 pregnancies; other than that I has been on a slow, steady uphill climb to my current weight. I am at a point where walking for too long hurts my back, and I have noticed I don't have much energy anymore. I want to be healthy, I want to be a good role model to my children, and most of all, I want to life long enough to see my children grow and to enjoy retirement with my husband.

MFP seems to be just what I need. I was never aware of the exact portions/calories I should be having each day, so this site makes it a lot easier!

I would love to talk to anyone who is going through this for support and encouragement; let's help each other!
