What are your thoughts on the Body Media Fit? Should I get it? I have a Polar HRM, but was wondering if this is worth the investment.

Thanks
Jenn

To log the more accurate HRM calorie burn into the BMF site, you'll have to remember to take the armband off.

If you accept it's estimate of daily calorie burn in addition to HRM exercise burn, and that causes you to take a more reasonable deficit because of know where the math starts - then yes, very useful.

If you keep eating say 1200, then it'll be a mere curiosity for a couple weeks, and then really of what use is it except monthly fees for it's use.

At least the FitBit is cheaper and no monthly fees.

And yes, I used the BMF for 4 months and stopped for several reasons, lack of accuracy top of list.

    Hi Jenn,

I have a BMF and love it! I wear it almost constantly - occasional exception being when I have sleeveless shirt on and don't want it exposed i.e. slightly more dress up than casual type of event.

It works as a pedometer and measures all my calories burnt. I believe it is more accurate than the exercise data on here because it is actually measuring me.

Yes, I do need to maintain/reference two sites but I use MFP for logging my food, BMF for measuring my exercise burn, and then MFP for logging my exercise calories. Ultimately I have all the data I need recorded here in MFP.
