And haven't gotten around to introducing myself. I'm 25 and have 2 children who keep me pretty busy! My oldest has a digestive disorder and is on a low FODMAP diet. Since she was diagnosed my husband and I also lost weight without even noticing, but I am struggling to balance my weight loss goals without sabotaging my nursing relationship with my youngest. I'd love to hear what works/worked for other nursing moms!

Hi there! I'm 21 years old, and I have a three year old daughter. I nursed for 6 months after she was born, and it was rough. It is certainly not something you get enough credit for. It is a LOT of work. It definitely takes a lot out of you, and the food restrictions, and cravings don't help. I didn't start MFP until two and a half months ago, but I have found that keeping honest track of your calories a day, can really help. I've lost 28 pounds in 10 weeks. Add me if you'd like extra support!
  • Most definitely! We are almost at the 1 year mark, and have nursed through thrush, pneumonia (me) and a wicked 2nd degree sunburn (me again).
