Not a diet exercise question, but I need help!

My Dad passed away Saturday morning and the funeral was Tuesday. It was a law enforcement ceremony and he would have loved it. But my question is, my mom is 83 and is now home alone. I was wondering if anyone knew of any other monitors like Life Alert. I want to check into all the different companies. Life Alert is kind of expensive. They may all be the same price, I'm not sure, but would like to look at them all.
Thanks Everyone!

My condolences. I don't have an answer to your question, but I just had to share with you that I feel a real connection with you. My dad passed away August 4. Plus your photo looks just like one of our Shelties. (We have two, but the other one is a tri-color.) Then I read your profile and see you have horses. We have one, a Morgan mare.
My best to you and your family.

Oh that's so nice Kimberly Thanks! Do you know if these systems work anywhere in the US as long as there is a rescue unit nearby?0

Thank you Jill. I'm sorry to hear about your dad. It's so hard to lose people that we love. My dad was so amazing. He had a huge servant heart. He loved people and loved to help people. He's in Heaven now on patrol up there.0

It sounds like our dads had a lot in common too. My dad was so kind and generous. The void left behind is immense. But he was so sick and was suffering so much, he really had to go. My best friend said it best, I think, when she said, "God sure has a wonderful angel now." I sure do miss him, though. I know you know what I mean.
