Can't decide between dumbbells or kettlebells.

Two fitness investments I'm going to be making in the near future are a HRM and either adjustable dumbbells such as the bowflex ones it kettlebells. Haven't decided which yet. The dumbbell seems like s far more versatile tool for exercising with but the style of exercise you do with kettlebells seems more like it would fit in better withvthe way I train. Opinions on either would be great if note that due to the price if I do choose the dumbbells I will wait to catch them on sale.

Really depends on your personal preference - personally, I love kettlebells - but if you do choose these, be sure to learn proper technique to avoid injuries. Good luck!0

I'd say dumbbells, but could be because I've never used kettle-balls. But I found my weights on ebay at a good price with free shipping; I saw heavier ones on there.0

neither. Get into the rack and squat with the Olympic barbell.0

I have two 25 pound dumbbells that I use with my workouts. Do you have any used sports equipment stores near you? Around here there's "Play It Again Sports" that sells used weights cheap.
I would like some kettlebells, but I get a lot of versatility with my dumbbells

Between KB and DB I'd definately go KB... but OB is better than both....0

A set of adjustable dumbbells will cost ten times more than one kettlebell. You can do an awful lot with two kettlebells. And they take up less space in your house!0

Barbell is not a possibility given space.0
