Fat2Fit radio question

On fat2fit radio, when calculating bmr/tdee! I have only heard it suggested on here, to use the military body fat calculator, which says I am 35.6% body fat. I have been using that one. Went to check my body fat percentage, accidentally clicked on fat2fits original calculator, so I played along, did those measurements, weight height wrist forearm hips.... that calculator says I am 27.4% body fat. 8.2% difference is huge!!!! Can someone please explain WHY the military one is supposedly the accurate one?! (Not sure if you all have met our military and govt, but why should I believe them?) Obviously, after losing 30 lbs by eating healthy and working out I would clearly prefer the 27.4% body fat percentage.
Thank you!
Thank you!

I found it to be really high. I'd go with the 27. Or even better, go to the gym and let them whip out the calipers. :-)0

Whip out the calipers..... oh that sounds terrifying! And I prefer the 27% because that puts me in the healthy body fat category. I thought I had a bit to go to get there.0
