Absolutely everything. I love this Country, even when it is too cold to bear, our summers make up for it.

Pei sucks. Haha. We have way too many taxes and everything in overpriced. The rest of Canada is awesome. ;D

Taxes suck everywhere, but if it weren't for the taxes we wouldn't be in such a good place economically.

The people are way friendlier, people talk to you on the street, use their manners, sound educated when they talk, it's just a more uplifting experience than walking in downtown Anaheim where everyone sounds like they never made it past grade 6 and they butt in line, death glares and blatantly crash into you and get mad at you for being in the way!! get over yourself, smile a litter. we have brutal weather compared to most states but somehow we seem more happier? weeeird. happy canada day! :flowerforyou:

I've never been to Canada but it's on the top of my list of countries I'd love to visit, followed very closely by New Zealand.

Didn't Canada come out really high in some all-world wellbeing and happiness score recently? World Happiness Report or something I remember?

All the Canadians I've met when travelling have been super friendly!! :flowerforyou:

Yeah, except PEI has the highest taxes in Canada, and they're getting even higher next year for us. Lol

lol @ we don't marry our relatives.

I love being Canadian, just wish other parts of the world, that shall remain unnamed, would look outside the box and learn about other nations.......especially when we're soooo close, lol. The majority of us really do not live in igloos, and count bears as our neighbours. Oh and hey, the french tick us off too at times, lol. Haven't seen any lumberjacks around lately in their red plaid shirts. Our RCMP is actually pretty cool if you can look beyond all the corruption. yeah, I like being here.

On the east coast, donairs and donair sauce are pretty awesome lol. My favorite part of being Canadian is playoff season in the NHL and how every night there is hockey on TV and everyone I know is watching it.

    Free health care
    Beaver Tails
    Friendly People
We are so socialist that we have a medical marijuana department in Health Canada (I don't partake, I just think it's fantastic)
I can bike 17km to work and have less than 1km of that be on a major road.
    Canada is freaking big!

Though I feel like I should point out that in most Canadian provinces it IS legal to marry your first cousin (sorry, lawyer) we just tend not to because...ick.

That's not really a nice thing to say. You shouldn't generalize an entire Nation of people like that.

Yup, just like America has a day…

I <3 Canada! Wouldn't live anywhere else! My Grandfather was born on July 1st and worked for the government in tourism, so it's been instilled in us that Canada Day is the best day ever!

Am not that far on the left side of the spectrum myself, am a staunch Liberal. There are definitely benefits to being in a country that is left leaning though!

    oh I forgot one...

The Charter of Rights and Freedoms!!!

Nice people! I live abroad now, and whenever I'm back in Toronto I totally take the opportunity to talk to people whenever I get the chance! I miss striking up a conversation SO much!

Canada might not be my home right now, but it's my homeland, and I love it!
