One of the girls as work messaged me today thanking me for teaching her how to eat healthy foods. She said she thought she would never be able to do it- but thanks to my encouragment and advice she has been eating healthier for the past 2 weeks. She says she feels so much better.

How have you helped others or inspired them?
Maybe you can help other MFP'ers by what you write.

    By my perserverance...

I started my weightloss in April of 2004 and I promised myself I would not give up no matter how long it took or how much I gained back during the process. And I never gave up. I faltered, I got off course, I felt discouraged, but I kept at it.

Took me 6 years to lose 100 pounds and 6 1/2 years to get to my goal (at a 115 pound lost).

I lost my weight through Weight Watchers and I'm often asked to speak at meetings. Not because of how much I lost, but because I stuck with it for so long and came out triumphant in the end. Since speaking at these meetings I have been touched by how many people have told me that they continued with their weight loss because they knew if I could stick with it for so long, they could too. That's been the greatest feeling for me... to be able to pay it forward and encourage others. :flowerforyou:

After I started and lost about 30lbs my best friend started dieting with me. After she lost about 25lbs another friend of ours joined us. My best friend always says I'm her inspiration & motivation, and other friend says that the two of us are her motivation. Since they started things have been so much easier because there is a support system which I think is key. I have now lost almost 80lbs, my best friend is down 40lbs, and my other friend is down over 80lbs. She has become my inspiration (as well as my best friend). All three of us will tell you there is no way we'd where we were if it wasn't for the other two pushing & motivating us :)
