Generally any veggie that you slice thinly, coat lightly in oil, and put in the oven will turn into a crisp..
I love kale crisps though.. Dry the kale really thoroughly, tear it into bite size bits, coat it as lightly as possible with oil, and lay on a cookie sheet. Put salt and pepper (or whatever spices you want, really) on them. Bake at 425 until the edges brown.0 -
I've tried Kale chips 4 times and can't get it right. Either they are too well done and brown or soggy and greasy. The smell in the house while they are baking is also off putting. I used different amounts of oil and different temperatures. I might give it one more chance since everyone seems to be able to get them done perfectly. Has anyone sprinkled Nutrional Yeast over them? I hear it tastes "cheesy".0

I have done kale chips and instead of oil I used Apple Cider Vinegar. 1/4 cup of it and mix it with the kale and some salt. It turned out really good I thought.0
