Feeling blue

I don't know why I can't just keep my mouth shut and not shove food in it that doesn't belong there. I love ice cream and chocolate and an occasional chip. I went off the wagon this week due to PMS and now I am paying for it with a 2 pound weight gain. Every day I vow to do better and you know what, my actual meal choices are fine, it's the snacking at night after the kids go to bed that gets me every time. I was doing good, didn't even gain weight on vacation 2 weeks ago. One bad bout of pms and it all goes to hell. I am so bloated and feel so fat right now. I am sorry for the rant. I'm just feeling blah right now.

Did you try the eat more to weight less method?
I. Your size and I eat between 1700-2000 calories a day. I still lose weight. It took care of any binging and craving.0 -
I had a TOM week this week, too, idauria....and right before I had to take 6-month challenge ENDING photos and measurements. Yikes.
I hope you feel better, soon.....and I hope you realize that one bad week is NOT the undoing of weeks/months-worth of hard effort. I promise!0 -
This ^^^^
I'm five feet tall and 119 pounds. I was eating 1200 cals/day for a LONG time. It help me lose weight for a little while, but it ended up being a bad decision in the end.
I couldn't lose the last 10 pounds (plateau)
I gained weight (in the form of FAT) easily
I couldn't have ONE bad day without gaining weight
I was tired and grouchy wayyy too much!
Since starting to Eat More to Weigh Less (check out the group here on MFP) all of those problems have gone.
Good luck! And don't be so hard on yourself! You look great.

your profile ticker says you have lost 5lb so even with the 2lb gain you are still better off than you were. So you haven't ruined everything, just taken a step back. Plus how much of that is water gain due to sodium in 'bad' foods and TOM retention?
Stop and reassess - it is not as bad as you think it is, only a minor blip. What have you learned from this that can stop you doing the same next time? Think of it as a learning experience.
We all have bad days/weeks/months but you don't have to let them keep you down0 -
it's a process - don't beat yourself up - I cheat big every once in a while but get right back on and then I start losing again. If we want to permanently change our habits and be THAT GIRL - we have to learn how to live this way. That means - you'll indulge once in a while.0

I stopped tracking calories because it was just too annoying after a while. I don't think I eat 1700-2000 cals a day when I'm really watching what I eat. I usually strive for 1200. I am only 4'10" and every pound shows! My arms look great but my midsection just sucks. My waist is 25" and hips are almost 31". I weighed 94 this morning. I have been going between 91.5 and 92.6 lately. I have been trying to lose an inch or more around my waist forever. It just ain't happening. I know it's my fault. I can be so good for a while but then I binge it all away. I'm not even doing any heavy lifting right now, just following Men's Health 15 minute workouts, which are good, but I fear it's not enough. Ugh. Trying to eat less today but I am hungry and it's still a couple hours away from dinner and then I'm going to ladies night at my church and there will be all sorts of temptations there. The good thing is that I have been wheat/gluten free for a while and that stuff doesn't tempt me anymore. It's the chips that get me. I bought a bag of baked tortilla chips to take with me so I'd have something less bad to eat but I think I should leave them home altogether and just determine not to snack. What do you think? I promised myself no chocolate today and so far so good. I have been bingeing on dark chocolate m&ms. The large bag. There's not that much left.0
