Well, crap. It's just after lunch...

...and I'm already over my limit!

How is it I keep going over? I start every day with the best of intentions, but before you know it I'm over my 1400 cal/day limit. Not always right after lunch, mind you. Sometimes I make it till after dinner and sometimes I even don't go over; those times just seem few and far between.

Since I started MFP I lost 4 lbs right away. Then gained 8 and lost it again. Now I'm up another 2. Grrrr. I don't want to be a whiner, but I'm seriously bummed and mad at myself. Intellectually, I know what needs to be happening here: I need to have a little more self control with the foods and a little more action with the exercises.

How do I keep the food from falling into my mouth? How do the other working moms find the time and energy to be attentive wives and mothers, good friends, have hobbies, AND get in shape?

Plan ahead - instead of eating out prepare a healthy breakfast and lunch. Bring healthy snacks and keep a stash in your work drawer. If you're low on calories at night do a work out to earn some back.

Yes pre planning and have an idea how many calories you're aiming to save for dinner. I try and leave myself 6 or 700 cal for dinnertime so that I can cook something easily that both myself and my boyfriend will like and if I still have calories left after that then I can make a healthy evening snack too (blend frozen fruit with yoghurt for homemade ice cream).
