waist: going from 29" to 25"

hello all! happy friday!

i have a question for people who might have done something similar successfully or have any good input. my nsv is to get my waist down to 25" (or at least fit into my jeans). i am more of an apple shape body - all my weight is stored around my stomach/love handles but i have skinny limbs. like a walking pumpkin.

what kind of effort and how long will it take to get me to a size 25 comfortably? is 4 months too ambitious?

do you cut down on your sugar intake? i have heard that excess sugar contributes highly to belly fat. interval training?

i'm 5'6" (well 5'5.5" if you want to be particular), and am currently around 128-133lbs.
