When it's really hot weather, I get up early and walk 2 miles (as briskly as the heat or coolness allows) around the neighborhood while the sun is still low enough not to start raising the temperature too much (it was 74 this morning). Then later in the day I do a half hour of combined cardio/strength exercise indoors in the air conditioning where it's cooler (or in front of the fan if the a/c isn't working). Then later on, when it's really, really hot out (today it hit 100 here) I swim or tread water for 1/2 to 1 hour. The water may be warm, but it's loads cooler than trying to do anything else outside. 1 hour of treading water/swimming burns about the same calories as my 2 mile walk.0

I no its not the same bug I have a treadmill but my house sucks at keeping it cooler then 77 degrees when it's been 105 out lately so I ran in the morning and I'm gonna again late when the sun goes down0

Where hitting triple digits (before I complain its too cold), I get up and start my walk around 7:45am and I'm done about an hour and 20 minutes and I can feel the hit warming up. Oh boy get out early if your in a climate like mine.0

This is why I spend 30 dollars a month on a gym membership to a nice, cool, air conditioned, 24 hour gym0

Great ideas. I am trying to increase my steps at work/the hospital is air conditioned. If I'm visiting a pt. in room 21 walk the long way around the hallway. On days off I dig into household chores and due to the heat I sweat as much if not more than some exercising. (We only have two window units for the 2800 square feet so needless to say not able to keep up with the 100+ days.0
