Pet peeves in manners

Ok so basically the manners of my 4 nieces and nephews from my husband drive me insane. What are some peoples pet peeves when it comes to manners? Some of mine:

If someone cooks a meal never call it gross or disgusting
Clear your own plate
Always say thank you
Sit at the table until everyone is done eating
I hate whining about losing a board game or not being your turn ...like ten year old boy in tears

And the one mil breaks every time. If you bring something to a party where the host makes everything and you bring one thing: you leave the leftovers of your dish!! She will bring only caprisun and take the rest home like my kid.wont drink thrm. Last time she took juices I bought! Irritating.

Please add your annoyances!

As someone that has heaved over some of the attrocities presented to me as 'dinner', I have to disagree with clearing your plate.

    Meat pies...urk.

Doors swinging shut in my face usually pisses me off. Not much else I can think of.

Sorry to clarify not eating everything on your plate just putting the rest in the trash and putting your plate in the sinl. I would never force them to eat it, I am a good cook though they just dont do most veggies.

it disgusts me when someone belches at the table and does not excuse themselves or other bodily functions...or chews with mouth wide open like a cow..

Hah, no worries, I really should have put this guy >>> <<<< after what I said about clearing your plate. It's not that people are bad cooks in my experience...they're just deranged.

Why would I want to eat mushrooms, pray tell? nom*squelchsquelchsquelch*nom. No. Thank. You. Same goes for prawns

I get cross when a child spills something/ drops something and then just looks at you - like "What are you waiting for? Aren't you going to get that?"

    ugh.

My youngest stepdaughter has never grown out of this (even though I NEVER pick up after her) and she is 10.

Ooh, one time my DH and I were at a birthday party and they served bread rolls before the main, DH took a roll, ate it, then dusted his hands off into the other buns in the basket. :noway:

I went mental (once I realised I didn't hallucinate the whole thing.) omfg, I was disgusted.

    My kids must say please
My kids must say thank you
My son holds the door open for ladies and elders
    My kids don't interupt

SMH at the parents who don't teach their kids the basic proper manners.

My biggest pet peeve is people who spit. For some unknown reason they usually have to spit when they are entering or leaving a store.
    I hate belching.
I hate people who don't say please or thank you.
I could go on and on tonight...oh I hate people who ramble:tongue:

Having to watch someone chewing with their mouths open. I can handle puke, but I can't handle that for some reason.

Litterbugs!!! I once chased down someone in a fit of rage because I saw them toss a soda bottle out of their car. I was very pregnant and hormonal. Thank goodness I stopped before I caught them. Mainly, people throwing out their cigarette butts. Argh!!! It should be legal to smack them upside their heads when they do this!

People yelling at their kids in public places. I know they're being brats, but take them outside and TALK to them. Screaming just makes me want to grab something heavy and knock you out.

    I feel better. Thanks. ;-)

people who dont say please or thanks..

be polite to your server at a resturant (its called Server NOT servant!)

when at a party be a garcious guest. dont act all high mighty (ie. sitting and taking smack about the host {bad food/dont like the drink choices etc}) if you dont want to be there. leave!! dont make snide comments about the person whos inviting you to their place

its not so much a manners thing; but i hate when random people touch my daughter.. if we are at the mall; and i dont know you. please dont touch my daughters face/hand and say shes cute. you can say the same thing sans the touching..
