Does this ever happen to you?

So, I had to swing by the vet after work to pick up my "kids". This meant at least an extra hour of driving before getting home. As it turned out, I left work a half hour later than normal and ended up getting home two hours later than normal. My car's a/c doesn't work so it was hot, I was tired and I was irritated from driving around in rush hour traffic. When I got home I was famished! I couldn't even think to put together a healthy meal and while I ate fairly healthy food (corn on the cob, buffalo chicken sandwich, beef sticks) I felt like I ate a lot of food. Obviously the best thing is to plan ahead and have some nuts or something to munch on but what if you find yourself stuck in this sort of situation? How do you stop yourself from going crazy in the kitchen?

Keep reminding yourself when you walk through that door that you're not going to let yourself slip just because your timing has gone out the window doesn't mean your eating plan does. Take a few breaths. Get a glass of cool water and sit down and relax until your mind isn't going crazy and then cook yourself something healthy and quick. You could always keep some quick recipes in your kitchen for days like this. Put some music on to cheer your self up and don't make the mistake of falling back into bad habits
I hope this helped, first time giving advice but what the heck

Oh no...never...
OK, once....well, twice.
OK, all the time! Seriously, I must ALWAYS keep healthy snakes within reach, or I'll get nuts with hunger and binge like a condemned man eating his final meal before the gallows.0 -
Thanks for the great advice and support!0
