A good workout, a smidge of salt

I seem to remember growing up that when you sweat you lose water and salt in your body.

I've noticed that when I do a good workout the following food tastes bland and I need to add a touch of salt. Interesting really because I've never had salt on my food till now (except McDonalds fries).

I think the need for a bit of salt shows that my body had a good work out.
