Good morning everyone,
My name is Stacy. I have been struggling with anorexia for about 21 years now, have been in out patient programs, which did not work for me. I was just in a 6 week partial hospitalization program for my eating disorder. I am now struggling that I am out of the program. It was a highly structured program. I am now using MyFitness Pal as a tool to count my calories for the day and maintain a healthy weight. if there is anyone else out there struggling with an eating disoreder I would like to have you as a friend, to keep me on track! Even if you don"t have an eating disorer I would like to have people to keep me in check! Thanks a bunch!

Just added you.
You do know that you can have your ticker showing if you want to gain? You also might want to think about having your diary open. *hugs* Good luck!0 -
First of all let me tell you that you're not alone & there are some women here who also have ED. I also had ED way back 1998 when I was still 19 when I took drugs, diet pills, laxatives & a 150 cal a day diet & although mine only happened for a few years but I know how tough can it be. Honestly if not for money perhaps I wouldn't be cured. I just ran out of money to buy those diet pills & illegal drugs which is why I was slowly reverting back to normal eating although I do struggled with it as well.
Its good that you're taking serious steps to overcome this very tough condition. I don't know your exact situation right now but all I can say is keep on fighting & never ever give up. Anyway feel free to add me as your friend :flowerforyou:0 -
Hi sweetie,
I am so glad you are aware of the problem, that is one of the biggest things someone with anorexia deals with, denial. You are already on the road to recovery! Make some friends and use their diary to help figure foods out for you daily routine. You can use mine although I am kind of boring in what I eat. Set yourself little goals and one day at a time. Keep sharing here and you will have tons of support, I will be here for you and going to send you a friend request now;) denise0 -
are you in therapy at all?
I too have been struggling with an eating disorter and my nutritionist & therapist advised me not use mfp.
I obviously haven't listened but I dont use it often as a food journal and my bulimic behavors have been "under control" since the birth of my son. However my therapist worries tracking can lead back to obsessing and obsessing to restricting, restricting to starving, starving to binging- purging and then I'm back to square one- anorexia is of course different but the spiral down could apply.
Just really something to think about... goodluck =]0
