What is the difference between quick oats and old fashioned oats?

I believe 'quick oats' have been processed further so they cook more quickly. It might just be that they're rolled more thoroughly on the machine that flattens them. I'm not sure, though.0

Interesting I will have to research into it a little more.0

A lot of quick oats have flavors added which increase the calories as well. They're usually 100-160 cals per serving, at least the Quaker ones are, depending on flavor.0
