Question about logging weightlifting

In the excersize diary, I can't work out how to log the toning excersizes I do on my arms every day - or to log them at all?!

Every morning I do 2 sets of 20 reps for about 8 different arm-toning weightlifting excersizes to firm up my arms as I lose flab, but with only a very light makeshift weight (usually 400g tins of something e.g. chickpeas!) Also I'm about 101-103lbs and 5"2 if anyone is doing calculations :)

I've tried logging this in the diary as just 'weightlifting' but it seems pointless - how can it be a good estimate of cals if it has no idea what weight I'm lifting?! It usually only gives me about 36 cals for 15 mins anyway, and I expect it's less, so should I bother logging it?

  • Exercise diary will help you evaluate if your exercises, you can analyze if you are on the right track. If you don't see any improvement. It is time for you to change strategy but if you get the results you wanted. It only means that you have to stick with your routine.

You can log it as weight lifting or as circuit depending on how fast you are doing it.
If you are not resting much between sets call it circuit.

Even a HRM can't be very accurate with weights
