NSV 10k

I decided to pull the trigger and signed up for a 10K at the last minute. It was pouring out when I left the house but it was a light mist at the start of the run. What a great time and fun!. I was able to finish the race without any breaks and actually did it faster than I had been running in training! Now I can't wait to find the next run.

I go to work on Monday and someone from the office comes in and asks ......"do you have a boyfriend?" Mind you I am married and am dumbfounded. He says that I have lost a lot of weight so of course he thinks I have a "boyfriend" why else would I suddenly be getting into shape. I have been so focused on training for the 10K I haven't really been paying any attention to my weight.

I guess setting a goal works better for me than looking at that stupid number on the scales. After all the training I finally step on the scale to see if I am still stuck at the same number I have been at for the past month.......WOW 3 lbs down for the month but I must be a lot more toned for his "boyfriend" comment.

Anyone ever have the new "boyfriend or girlfriend" comment???

That is a good compliment! And congrats for your 10k without stopping. I know for some people it is not a big deal but we know for us is a massive deal! I am the same, i don't lose weight but you can see the changes on the body. Keep up the fantastic job! :)
