Hello. I have been on my weight loss journey for two years and have lost 58lbs to date. My goal is a healthy BMI and to finally feel good in my own skin.

I just faithfully started MFP a week ago. I've been logging my nutrition and exercise since. Initially, I lost 5 lbs within a few days. I'm a heavy water retention person. It hits me bad for a week or two during that time of the month.

The past week, being so "good" and on task I've maintained, given I do have a couple days to weigh in for this week. Not really worried, but just trying to make a change and move the scale more again.

I'm officially starting P90X challenge tomorrow and want to build some muscle and lose some of the fat I still carry in my gut and butt. I know I can do it. I just want to make sure I'm doing it right.

My daily intake goal is 1700. I exercise anywhere from 500 cal- 800 cal on average, making for a calorie deficit since I burning them up...right? To lose should I be eating the Net calories I have?

I'm doing the calorie express plan on P90X so, I'm trying to limit carbs at least the bad ones....I do eat veggies, fruits, grains, ect.

My fats and proteins do go into the red eat day too, if that matter. I'm always below my calories either way.

Thanks for your input.

Michelle
