Hi!
I am hoping MFP will be my motivation to eat the best I can and workout. Since having thyroid issues beginning 6 years ago, I steadily gained weight till I'm over a60+ lbs overweight. My family and I eat pretty healthy-no processed foods or junk food except for hubbie who takes granola bar thingies to work and drinks a little soda. Nada for the rest of us! My doc wants me to eat every 3-4 hrs and ease up on high glycemic carbs. He wants me to start walking 30 minutes a day and weight train 3 x's a week. I am going to start walking tonight and I bought a cheap resistance band doorway exerciser at the big box store. I think it will be OK for starting out, though it's not near enough for my 15 yr old son. So, I know the thyroid is when my weight issues started, but will do everything I can to get my life back. Looking forward to meeting some of the awesome people on here! Lisa P.S. Looking to add anyone as a friend that is motivated to lose, too-especially those over 40 yrs!

Hi,
My name is Kimberlee, 48. I don't have a thyroid problem, but I do have arthritis and diabetes. Your doctor gave you some very good advice. Feel free to add me for support and motivation.0 -
