Momentary lapse of judgement.

Does anyone else get that "hey! You only live once. Why on earth am I depriving myself of something I want simply so I can look better? Who cares how I look? If I want that god dang cheesecake, I'll have it!" lapse of judgement which usually ends up with a little too much indulgence and a weeks worth of guilt eating away at them?

If so, how do you fight it before succumbing?

(this has always been my main problem, and albeit it hasn't happened recently I want to be on the safe side when that inevitable moment comes.)

Last night I bought a box of the little 90 calorie snicker icecream bars. I thought I could eat one a day as a treat. All 12 gone in an hour. Sometimes you win sometimes you give in, That's life.

A phrase that I once read: Nothing tastes as fit fills.

All the time. Not so much in the first couple weeks but the longer you are on the diet and the more you lose the more that starts to creep in. (you feel like you have lost enough to "earn it"). Like the person above said sometimes you win, and sometimes you give in. However it helps if you hold yourself accountable. Ive had days where I was really craving a candy bar. So I have it. But I have to "pay for it" that night with a mile run.

You can have that lapse of judgement, but then pay it off. It either makes you think twice before doing it again, (because you dont want to run) or it brings you peace when you know that you can do it but you have to work it off.
