Hi everybody!
I'm a 27 year old student from Sweden who's trying to gain some weight. All my life I've been really skinny while being above average height. In late 2009 I decided to change this and started to go to the gym with a good friend with similar goals and went on a dirty bulk – sometimes eating till i puked.
2.5 years later and 16 kilos / 35 pounds heavier I'm now looking for a well balanced healthy diet to help me maximize my gains from my workouts. Therefore I'm going to try to track my calorie intake and my macronutrition quotas for my very first time so that I can undergo a less extreme and more healthy bulkingphase.
My goal has been set to 2500 kcal for my first week(s) and 50% carbs / 25% protein / 25% fats. I will closely track my weight and strengthgains every week and adjust my calorieintake accordingly.
Glad to be have found this site because it seems to be a fairly straightforward and easy system. If anyone have any tips or opinions on my diet I'd be more than happy to hear it since I'm very new to this.

Welcome Johan!!!!!!!! This is a wonderful tool to track your nutritional goals, you're going to love it and i know that it will help you. Be sure to ask the question "Who out there is trying to gain weight?:" in the Motivational Support or General Diet and Weight Loss to find those who, like you, are trying to gain weight, I know that there are some, Have fun with it . I never thought that dieting could be fun, but it is. I know you'll do well. Have a great week-end.

Good to hear you are trying to do this the right way; if you are trying to gain muscle, focus on your protein... The rule of thumb I have seen most places is one gram of protein per pound of lean body mass... You would of course want to find the correct conversions on both the KG and the KJ. The reason for this is that your protein is what rebuilds your muscles. Another great site for the body building end is bodybuilding.com They have a lot of different plans and such to help you reach your goal. I wish you well on your journey.0
