Hitting a wall

I 've been doing so well, Until yesterday. I had lost 28 lbs since May 14. Yesterday was June 29. I've been lifting weights, doing tae-bo, and started jogging. I've been under my calorie limit by an average of 200 calories. In a week I gained five pounds! I'm very dejected about this. What happened? I weigh myself at the same time everyday too. Any tips I didn't think I had lifted weights enough in those five days to pack on five pounds of muscle. The only difference has been my amount of sleep this week. A semester worth of work in a four week course I've averaged 4 hours of sleep a night. Could sleep have something to do with it? Any thoughts as to why I've gained that much weight in a week? Any tips on breaking down this wall that has seemingly been built in my path to my goal?

    Could be less sleep or water retention. Did you eat an extra 17,500 calories this week? I assume the answer is no. I personally have strange 3-5 pound gains every few weeks, but it always goes away within a few days. Hang in there. It's what I call a "false high." if you stay on plan I bet it will disappear within a few days.

    I haven't been here long but from everything I have been reading sleep is very important. That said I tried to look at your diary but you don't have it shared. It could be bloating from sodium. You need to try and keep your potassium number 2 or 3 for every 1 sodium to eliminate the bloating. Hope this helps and remember measure with all the exercise it could be your toning up losing inches even if the scale isn't dropping.
