bar code scanning on receipe creation

Hello, I am new to the bar code scanning and adding to diary........ its amazing!!
However when i create a receipe i find i have to log on to the full site to do it that way and then there is no option for scanning items..

can anyone help? am i doing something wrong or is there a different app i should be using?

Go to MORE on your app, chose Edit food and exercise, and then MY Recipes.
