I bought some "less than 10% lean irish beef mince" yesterday.
My question is...when i brown it in the pan and drain the fat off...how do i then log it? As the original weight, the new browned weight? Surely after i drain it, its not 10% fat content?

Good luck with that. I search the web for identical prepared foods to see what the calorie content is there as compared to the "raw packaged" info. Then I make a judgement call.

Surely you'd log it as the 10% because the amount your draining off will be such a minimal amount its not worth over thinking and its best to air on the side of caution in my opinion and over log than under log. plus theres no true way to tell what liquid has formed off the meat

This is exactly what I do. I also find that a lot of the "fat" you drain off isn't actually all fat anyway, it's a mix of water, meat juices and fat and it's impossible to tell how much fat has actually been lost.
