Question for those of you that have either stood in Times Square on New Years Eve, or have been to one of those package parties like TGI's or Bubba Gumps? I am looking at buying a ticket for either TGI's or Bubba Gumps does anyone have any reviews or their own stories they would like to share? I am trying to decide if it's worth it, it looks pretty awesome! I definitely want to be in times square on new years eve but I'm not looking forward to standing for 10 hours in the freezing with no toilet with the possibility of not even seeing the ball drop, so the latter is my only option (buying a ticket to TGI's or Bubba Gumps). I know most New Yorkers avoid it like the plague but I've never been to America before and hoping to go in Dec/Jan. Thanks everyone! :-)

If you're gonna go to New Years Eve in NY be prepared to use the bathroom in a diaper or not use the bathroom at all.. on the plus side they have food places across the way that deliver so you don't have to lose your spot lol

I'm not sure about the whole ticket thing..

We did the Bubba Gump New Years Eve thingy for 2011 with friends and it was pretty freaking awesome, and I'm a serious introvert. There was definitely sticker shock but I'm glad we did it. It was our fourth visit to NYC but was still the experience of a lifetime. The food was ok but plentiful. Drinks were better and also plentiful. Easy access to bathrooms--a HUGE plus! We were able to go outside if we wanted, as long as we kept to a specific area so we could get back in, so we got to go outside for the ball drop. NYPD will only allow you to take certain routes, but the Bubba Gump people meet you at a certain location and escort you through. If you want to do it you need to contact them to be put on a waiting list--I *think* the tickets go on sale in October.
