Reached goal size but not goal weight!

Has anyone else experienced this?

I thought it would take me another 10 lbs. to be a size 8 again. But I did it without reaching my goal weight. Perhaps its due to the weight training I'm doing. My muscles are nice and tight, but I still have a layer of jiggle that doesn't make me giggle - oh well, more cardio training I quess.

Maybe I should modify my weight goal. I honestly doubt I could be a size 6 again. I will be happy just to be a "loose" size 8.

Yes. I reached by first goal size before I reached my first goal weight. For me it was bout 15lb difference. Yes using weights make a huge difference.

Do whatever makes you happy. If you can lose the 10lbs you could probably be a four.
  • Yep same with me... 13 away from goal weight yet have reached my goal size, which is a size 8 for me too....

Congratulations. I know I worked very hard for this and am sure you did too... Big congrats.

This is happening this way for me too. I am not sure if it is because I have been building so much muscle and doing so much training or what, but my goal weight seems much more ambitious then the goal size I had been looking forward to now....I think I will hit an 8 Long before I hit 155lbs!!!

There are a lot of posts on here about once you get close to ideal body weight to start looking at % body fat. For me I had started ignoring the goal weight for a little while now. I am paying attention to size and weight but am focused on getting the body fat down. Only cardio can do that.

Congratulations for getting so far and meeting a goal. Awesome Job. :flowerforyou:

I've always believed that size is way more important than weight...
