Any Diabetic Runners?

I'm a type 1 diabetic and I use an insulin pump. I'm having the hardest time keeping my blood sugar level when I run and I was wondering if there was any other diabetic runners out there and what they do? I always eat a snack (must not be enough or the right kind) and I turn my pump off prior to exercise.

Thanks.

Not diabetic, but one of my friends is on Team Type 1's tri team.

Maybe you can find some info there. Good luck!

I'm a Type 1 runner. I make sure I eat a good quality meal about 2hrs before I run (carbs & protein). I like to start my run in the 160s to give room to drop because I don't like to eat/drink mid-run. I usually don't do more than 6mi or about 45-60min. I want to train for a half but I honestly haven't experimented with such extended burns with blood sugar.
