Hard Time with Calorie Counting

Hello! So this summer I am living at home before I go back to college in the Fall. Which means more recipes with unknown calories in them. Yes they are all pretty healthy recipes since my family always tries to eat healthy, but I have no idea what to do for calories. For example, we made marinated salmon tonight for dinner. The marinade is something very different my family does and I don't feel like being crazy anal about calories, I am a busy person and don't want to spend hours figuring it out.
Is it okay to kind of over estimate if you're not sure? I found a Salmon w/ Teriyaki on MYF because it seemed kind of close. I just want to know if it's okay to estimate or should I really figure it out evvvvvvvery time we have an intricate recipe like that?
Thanks!
