I am not really much help
I have recently fallen off the wagon and have not been keeping my diary
that is one of the keys to thsi site is to log everything you eat and see where you are and start cutting back
i work nights but the body does nto care about that
    i log midnight to midnight

friend a couple of my friends who have been doing really well and they also work nights

peachnpunkin she is a nurse like you
railr0adertony I think is his screen name...he has lost a bunch of pounds

check out the official nightshift thread and you will find a bunch of us nightshifters

    hope this helps

I've found that a sensible calorie goal is more important than the eating plan...for me. Are your calories set pretty low?

I've done this, too. It sounds like you may have compulsive and/or binge eating issues. I recommend getting in touch with a counsellor who specializes in disorder eating. It really helped me, even when I thought I was beyond help.

I used to go through binges just like this, MFP has helped me soo much. mine was caused more by stress or depression. Funny once i really started losing weight the cravings started to go away, I wanted better food so i could eat more of it. Planning meals is tough for me, I am a fly by the pants type of cook, and logging recipies took me a long time to get the hang of. It is worth it, make an investment in yourself, get a food scale, if your on the run buy quailty food and avoid the quickies like hot pockets and pizza. I know this is the tough one, but SLEEP, it is sooo very important, when i am tired is when my body says "Tony" get me SWEETS. Good luck and if I can give you any support do not hesitate. I work swing shift so I am on at weird times.
