Hey, guys!! I wanted to make sure our June Starters got in on this post, but please, anyone feel free to offer whatever you want on this thread....
Ok, so, I started off really strong in June. I was feeling great...so excited...losing something every week. After school has started, I seem to find it extremely hard to get motivated to exercise. I just totally lost my groove. I'm not gaining anything, but I go a week or two not losing anything... The scale is still moving downward because I am still being mindful of what I eat and the amount... But without getting a really good cardio workout in there, this process is about at a standstill...
I have time... I do... I'm sure I can make time that is... I have just really lost all motivation to get my *kitten* up and exercise.... GRRRRRRRRR
Is anyone else at this point? I still see so many of our June Starters losing good amounts of weight and it is so encouraging... I am just frustrated wtih myself at this point, I suppose.... There is always something else I find to do instead of exercising... There is always a house to clean, laundry to do, lesson plans to get ready, meals to cook for the family, things to get ready for school.... I have just been having a hard time prioritizing... I guess I just needed to vent and reach out there to see what you guys do when you hit the spot that I'm in now...

when im having a "i dont want to go to the gym day"....or cant go to the gym day, i do laundry and hang out downstairs at my house and drink a lot of water.... (we only have bathrooms upstairs)
good luck on getting over your rutt, i started in june, but havent kept up with the thread.

Kandyjo I am soo sorry your so frustrated. It it super hard to "get back in the groove" after a schedule change! I can't tell you how many "life style changes" have been blown after a "schedule change". I am very proud of you for still being on here after school started and still making mindful choices! THat's huge. Give yourself credit for that.!!! Try doing a new "quickie" workout. 30 day shred is only 30 minutes. I always hated working out at night but I have found it's the only time I can find time and usually that means the dishes wait a few more days...Oh well, I have made myself a priority! I know love working out at night and it really helps cut down on night time munchies:laugh:
As far as the scale goes....mine is doing nothing lately and I've kept on track but I always remind myself if I do what I know will take off the pounds (eating right) they will come off sooner rather than later. Also think of what a great role model you are for your kids, making good food choices.
Don't give up:happy: We are here to support you in whatever way we can:flowerforyou:0 -
I am constantly amazed at how we're often in sync with each other. I too started in June with a bang and have fizzled quite a bit with my oomph ... everything has totally slowed down now so it's a real practice in patience for me. I think I may have to change my plan a bit ... I was going to join a gym for the winter months but I might join sooner to give myself a bit of a variety when it comes to the exercising ... I have to have fun or I find myself forcing it. All in all I truly believe that you and I are both doing okay ... this is a lifestyle change and we should be proud of the changes we've made ... like making the healthy eating choices. We're heading in the right direction and have accomplished so much already ... there's really no mad rush to get there as long as we finish the race. Take care of you Kandy and be kind to you ... I'm proud of you.0

thanks so much.... I have just not wanted to pop in a dvd and do anything... crazy I know... I was doing so good in the beginning...not going a day without it... I think I burned myself out on the dvd's....I'm going to force myself to get out and walk while we have nice weather...0 -

There is nothing better than a good walk! Walk while the weather is nice:happy: I lost my first 10lbs with nothing but walking and it did wonders for my mental "game":happy:0

I too am starting to wane on the weight loss. I also have an injury, so it makes it reallllly hard for me to want to go out and damage it some more while running. Maybe I'll start the dvd's...I just want to be outside when it is so nice and my ankle keeps me from doing so
So instead I have focused my energy on my food. I am trying new things and am really enjoying being so creative with food and finding ways to make it lower calorie.
I do have to admit that I have been scared of going crazy with food...I keep waiting for the day when I look down at what I have eaten and a whole box of mac and cheese is gone. Or eating a whole pizza. I guess it's just an irrational fear. I despise those skinny people who can eat whatever they want and not gain an ounce!! If I ate that whole box of mac, it would take me days to get rid of it.
Anyway, Kandy, keep it going. You can do it...we are all here for you! Whenever you need a kick in the butt, tell one of us and we will give it, swift and hardWe are all in this together and we will succeed!! Walking outside is an amazing thing....try it tonight! Get some music and jam around the block :drinker:

I think we all can relate with you. :grumble: It's a struggle and some days are easier than others. I walk when I'm not motivated to exercise because I'm moving and burning calories but I'm not killing myself. I give myself a goal of 30 minutes because it's easy to fit that into a busy schedule and it's doable...then I usually find myself walking longer than that once I get moving. Good luck honey!0

I feel the same way - so frustrated. Started off so well but just unmotivated at the moment, I haven't done much exercise in the last 2 weeks and my weight loss has stalled. I've been unemployed for a few months now and it is so depressing. Usually I would turn to the chocolate to feel better but thats what got me here in the first place. lol.
Managing to not overindulge at the moment but need a good kick up the backside to get myself exercising. Right its new season - autumn is just starting, time to get moving again.
Maybe a good moan is just what we need. That and i need to fit into a great dress for a family wedding in about a month.
We can do this! :flowerforyou:0
