lifting!

Hey everyone,
Im new to this whole site thing...
and I have been lifting and doing cardio since the beginning of May...I have lifted arms and legs, and ran/eliptical for 30 minutes one day..and then the next day I just run for 30 minutes to get my cardio in. I do this 6 days a week.
So I was wondering if I should start just lifting arms one day, and switch to legs the next, but still keep my cardio?
I am sorta at a standstill with my weight.
