Eat more to lose?

I've seen something about this, and I have a friend who was told this by a nutritionist last week. I wonder if I need to try it. I've plateaued trying to lose my last 5 or so lbs. I work out 5-6 days a week for 30 min or more. I run and shred mostly, but I'm training for a sprint Tri right now, so I'm also biking and swimming. Any info would be awesome! TIA

Hi there, you'll find lots of info in the Eat More 2 Weigh Less group
http://www.myfitnesspal.com/forums/show/3834-eat-more-to-weigh-less
Be sure to read the stickies
The idea is that you eat more than BMR and less than TDEE to lose weight slowly not to just eat and eat and eat. I'm pleased with my results and am so glad that I increased my calories. The recommended calculator is http://scoobysworkshop.com/calorie-calculator/ and using this I chose to do a 15% cut from TDEE so I wasn't losing really quickly. I'm averaging half a pound a week.
I hope you'll take a look and join the group. Everyone's really great and helpful0 -
