Okay, So I have not really had any type of leg cramping since I was a child at which point I used to get them in my calves. Currently, I am experiencing cramps all over; claves, hamstrings, quads and even my abs once in a while. I take multivitamins, drink plenty of water, even electrolyte replacements(Gatorade). Recently had a physical done with blood work and all came back normal. Anyone else experience this and if so, found anything to help alleviate the cramping?Okay, So I have not really had

Magnesium supplements, and spray for particular muscles, Seems to be helping. Potassium can be an issue too. Bloodwork can't really pick up magnesium as it lives in the cells not the blood.

I have been recently too, but mine is because of pregnancy! So I am really no help :) All I know is they are painful but stretching has really helped me in prevention and pain management.

I've had a lot of foot and leg cramps lately and am increasing my intake of posassium rich foods (multi vitamins don't contain it). I'm also interested in seeing what other things are suggested here!

I deal with this and it stinks!! I have had all the tests and nothing helped. I upped my potassium and started taking chelated magnesium citrate (easily broken down and absorbed) and still no relief. My chiropractor suggested that i start adding a pinch of Celtic Sea Salt to every liter of water I drink each day. MAJOR IMPROVEMENT!!! When you sweat, you not only lose fluid but also all the electrolytes. Celtic Sea Salt has them all in it. I finds that if I stop the magnesium supplement, I get the cramps back. So, I stick with the entire regiment.

You might try soaking in a warm bath with 2 cups of Epsom Salts added. Soak for at least 20 minutes. Your body can absorb magnesium from the Epsom Salts.
Try eating a banana everyday too for potassium.

Just looked back through the last couple weeks of my log....noticed my sodium and potassium levels could use to come up a bit. Sounds like those may be a good place to start and see if it helps at all. Driving me nuts, sit a a desk all day and every time I bend my legs back my hamstrings cramp......
