Pulled Muscle

Hey everyone. I am seeking advice for a pulled muscle. At least I think I pulled my muscle. I was playing ultimate frisbee last Thursday and my hamstring "popped" At least that's what it felt like. I could not walk correctly for 3 days. I am still having difficulty on day 4. I have no idea what happened. I jumped up for the frisbee and that was it. I am really concerned that I might have torn a ligament but it is getting better with rest and ice. I am probably going to go to the doctor but are they really going to be able to give me an answer? Anyone else ever go through this and if so how long did it take to heal? Must appreciated!
