Can anyone tell me if apricots are really good for you? Is the downside of the sugar content outweighed by the nutritional benefits?

The trees are loaded this year. I have been over-indulging in them but I am still trying to track them. I need to go raid a tree in the morning. I have put up quite a bit in the freezer. A local restaurant is featuring a chicken cutlet smothered in an apricot onion sauce. I had it for a meal today. I tried to make it myself but, I need to try again to come up with a success.0

I have just had a look online and there are plenty of recipes for chicken in apricot & onion sauce to choose from. Good luck on your next attempt.
I'm not a lover of fruit and meat together (with the exception of roast pork and tart apple sauce) so I'll be giving it a miss but I will certainly be eating more apricots as a snack.0 -

I eat dried apricots sometimes as a snack to bump up my potassium levels. I'm always lacking in that area.0

That's why I was interested in them as my potassium intake is dire.0
