Stronglifts is pretty good and easy to follow. Free iphone app as well to track it.

If you're looking for a prestructured program, I highly suggest P90X. Some women believe it's "for the boys", but I just completed a full 90 days and have more muscle tone than I've ever had and I don't look like a man
I'd be happy to discuss it with you...
If you're looking for free... check out the Nike Training app. It has some nice workouts under "Get Strong".
    Best of luck!

STronglifts is good. Or Starting Strength.
You should read the starting strength book regardless.

This is the one I'm doing, very beginner friendly, and nutrition is flexible

This one is more hardcore, and more disciplined, structured nutrition. I've seen amazing results from both.

I'm into my 3rd week of Chalean Extreme and love it!!! It pushes heavy lifting with lower reps and she makes you slow down so you get more out of each rep!

There are plenty of good plans to choose from on bodybuilding.com. I always hear good things about Jamie eason's, kris gethin's, and stronglifts. I just take routines when I want to switch it up but have yet to follow a plan exactly. I get idea's from bodybuilding.com's different routines though.

It all depends on what your goals are. The recommendations would be completely different for a beginner that simply is trying to maintain muscle mass when losing weight, vs. a competitive bodybuilder trying to put on mass, vs. someone training for strong man competitions, vs. an athlete that want's to maximize performance in a particular sport. What are your goals and how much experience do you have lifting? Do you have any physical limitations currently? How fit would you consider yourself right now?

Starting Strength or Stronglifts are both excellent programs. Look for something with compound lifts, free weights (no machines!!), and fairly heavy weight/low reps.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions! I'm checking the suggestions out right now.

@cordianet- I am looking to lose weight. I have lifted weights before but I am no expert. I don't have any physical limitations. I have been working out for about 2 months now since the birth of my child so I guess I'm a beginner.

Stronglifts 5x5, Starting Strength and New Rules of Lifting for Women. There's also this: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=4195843 that is tried and true as you can see by the number of responses to that thread.

I am currently doing a modified version of stronglifts lol... I'm doing that routine but 3x5 instead.
