Okay so bacon is real good and I got some turkey bacon the other day because it's much healthier but is it bad to eat when dieting or whatever? I had two slices today. No regrets.

The only real problem with turkey bacon is that people persist in calling it "bacon." It isn't bacon, any more than pizza without red sauce is "pizza." however, turkey "bacon"can be a nice addition to any diet (if you don't mind the sodium) so long as you get the right brand. For example, compare the nutrition values for a couple of slices of Oscar Meyer turkey bacon with Applegate Farms uncured organic turkey bacon. One of them is healthy, one of them isn't. If you think you are doing yourself a favor by purchasing Oscar Meyer's turkey, you might want to just buy the real porky goodness. turkey fat without protein is still fat without protein.0
