Growing as an adult?

So. I'm apparently 5'9". I've been 5'8" for, uhh.... ever? And suddenly I'm 5'9". In fact, I'm 5'9.4". Checked it myself after my doctor told me so (I assumed it was a mistake). I know this seems like kind of a silly post, but now I'm concerned that I have a pituitary tumor or something. I'm 22 - do women sometimes grow at this age? It seems crazy. I've grown 1.4" in a year, as an adult. Why?

Has your posture gotten better since you lost weight?

Improved posture is the most likely explanation.

I'd say yes, but I was a fit and 5'8" tall adult before I gained the weight.

It still seems a bit weird to me, but I guess it's not so out there... haha. And hey, my BMR is higher than I thought! Bonus.

Jumping to the worry about a pituitary tumor is quite a stretch. I had a pituitary tumor and trust me, there were noticeable symptoms.

Sorry, I sometimes become overly anxious. I think too much. Also, I had some serious health problems this spring which were never explained, and some fit in with typical symptoms of a pituitary tumor. In fact, reading through webmd (never a good idea, but oh well), quite a bit of this fits, And now I'm anxious again.

It's probably just your posture. Congrats on growing :)
