    Seafood.

Most buffets have salmon or such, boiled shrimp, crab legs or even crawfish. Soups are good, though high in sodium and sushi that is simple fish and rice.

Most also have fresh fruit and salad in their buffet. You could start there and eat a big plate of fruit and salad, then make a small plate of the good stuff.

When I go to a buffet, I stick with steamed veggies, beef/chicken w/ broccoli, meat that hasn't obviously been breaded and fried, and of course soups, salads and fruits.

It's hard as hell to stick to healthy eating whilst being enticed by the deliciousness of foods, especially ethnic foods (chinese/japanese being my fav!!). I applaud you for just the attempt lol Good luck!
