I have been using the site for a while now and I just dont understand why its so hard for me. All the measuring and weighing is really getting to me. It seems to take a lot of time for me to find the foods that I look for. I notice that a lot of the things that I consume have different nutritional information for the same exact thing that I am looking for. Is there a easier way to do this? I have not lost a pound but am gaining each week. I have lost the motivation to exercise because I dont feel like wasting my time doing so when I am not seeing any changes. I know that I shouldnt expect any changes right away but I need to at least see or feel something in order to keep myself motivated. I am out and about all the time so I eat things randomly. I always try to pick healthier choices but for some reason I am still gaining! I am having a hard time planning as well because whenever I do I never stick to it. I always end up in a situation where I just have to pick up something and go.

Because your diary is closed, it's hard to give you any solid advice.
Best I can do under the circumstances is ask you this: Do you make healthier decisions every day? If you do, then whatever is going on is worth your time. Yes, even if you're gaining weight, because the less crap you put into your body the better you're taking care of yourself, regardless of what the scale says.
If you'd like better advice, I suggest you open your diary and let the experts weigh in.0 -

I am not sure I understand what the problem is with logging? Different brands may have different nutritional info for the same foods. Just search for the brand name along with the food name. If you have a smartphone, use the barcode function to scan it and find the food more easily. If you can't find the food with the correct info, just enter it in on your own. Yes, it's a bit tedious at first, but it gets easier as long as you consistently log.
As to whether there is an "easier way," sure there is. You can hire a chef with a strong background in nutrition to organize and plan all your meals out, with the correct macros and calories. Or you can hire someone to do the logging for you and tell you what to change in your diet. Or you can sign up for nutrisystem-type plans where you get meals delivered to your door. But 1) those "easy ways" are expensive and 2) they are not going to help you learn how to eat for the rest of your life using your own knowledge.
Instead of getting hung up on your current results, why not focus on your future goals? I think you will get better results that way. Focusing on your goals and coming up with concrete plans will help you achieve them. On the other hand, focusing on the "now" will not help you much, as you have already seen. You can always make an excuse as to why your diet is not doing well "now," and end up procrastinating forever. I think you already know why you are not seeing results-- you are planning your diet well and are being inconsistent. It's up to you to change that.
Once you are logging consistently and accurately, you can tweak your diet based on your results. Some people may cut or increase their calories depending on the weight loss. But you do need to get the logging down in order to determine where to go from there.0 -
