Goal Met (10 years ago) and my experience here

This website is almost identical to a program called BalanceLog that I used on a PDA 10 years ago when I was 48. Using it and exercising regularly, I lost 50 lbs and got down to my ideal weight which was what I weighed when I was around 25. Since then the pounds crept back up and I eventually gained it all back but it took 10 years to do that and the last couple I gained the most as my metabolism has slowed down with age.

A couple of times I started watching my food and used this site but with little effect on my weight so I got discouraged but I was drinking alcohol more than I normally did and traveling more. I find it is harder to watch the calories when traveling since the company pays for everything and my allowance for dinner is anything under $50 so the phone app is a godsend.

I have given up drinking (empty calories), well about 98% of it, using the food log, biking and weight lifting and feel very positive for a change. I feel physically much better.

So I am now down about 13 with about 40 or so more to go.
