So now that im exercising..ive been earning calories...before MFP i never knew i "earned" calories from working out...so i always stuck with 1200 calories...and never ate more...even after working out...i guess im just confused as to how i do this...is it my goal to use max calorie amount? Can i just eat 1200...or will my body get run down? im new to the whole working out every day,tracking,etc....HELP!:) Im about to start the 30 Day Shred...and dont want to inhibit weight loss because i mess up on the whole calorie/eating thing....

I am new here, but there are plenty of sticky posts explaining ad naseum about how MFP works. First, I would recommend a good HRM as the estimates I have seen used by MFP for exercise tend to be on the high side of calories burned. You will get many opinions on this topic so I am not going to say what is best for you. What I am doing is eating back nearly 75-90% of my exercise calories. There will be days I will not eat back that many and there may be instances where I push it over 100%. I just listen to my body. Check out and read the sticky posts and that should help.0
