You missed out a vital part of your post.... was it good?0

Well...to be honest. No. But it was no fault of the recipe...vanilla ice cream, hot fudge, caramel, and bacon....now that's a fantastic combination. Unfortunately however burger kings bacon has the consistency of ply wood with less flavor.0

Got my answer, nevermind.0

i watched someone eat one of those on youtube and he said it tasted and smelled like crap. lol0

I make maple bacon cupcakes, and they are DELICIOUS! I have wanted to try the BK bacon sundae.... but I never liked BK bacon either!0

It did not taste...nor smell...like human fecal matter.0 -

Burger King made that? Ew. Try making it yourself and THEN let us know.
(I had no idea Burger King made something like that)
What is this semi-new fascination with everything bacon, anyway?0 -

Okay. Maple and bacon are delicious.
I'd have to make it turkey bacon though. I don't eat pork.
Or breads and muffins, really. LOL. But you know what I'm saying.0 -

Sounds really gross!!! lol
Glad you are still alive, well, and on MFP to tell us that it wasn't all that great... LOL Thank you because, the curiousity of having one, is now gone :laugh:0 -

Well the main reason I posted about it is because the burger king sundae has been in the news and there have been 1147 MFPers making posts talking about how disgusting that is and how could people eat that and blah blah blah. Just wanted to point out that I ate it...and I'm alive. And not any fatter than I already was.
I do fully intend on making it myself one day though...just not anytime soon.0 -

Mmmmmm bacon!

Is this even available in NJ yet? My kids want to try it, but I won't let them.0

The real problem with BK's bacon sundae is the fact that they don't chop up the bacon fine enough. It's not big enough to be a full strip, but they also don't cut it small enough to be bite sized. Couple that with the bacon being rather bland, and well, it's not very impressive.0

I dunno I'm in Seattle...
Like I said...the consistency and flavor of the bacon was awful...if they want a bacon sundae (and you want to allow it) you should just make it yourself...it'd be easy enough to do.0 -

Are you talking about the bacon stuck in the top? I agree...
However there is also chopped up bite size bacon mixed in with the ice cream.0 -
Now keep eating them on a consistent basis and report the results.0

They have a maple bacon gelato at my local gelato shop and it is pretty good0

I despise fast food, so I don't understand the fascination or need to go out and buy one of these. However, with that said,
I love bacon, ice cream, chocolate and the concept sounds delish. MAKE YOUR OWN at home. You can control the ingredients - so it will be better nutritionally and will TASTE better - will taste how you want it !
Sundaes are EASY to make ! I'd use vanilla frozen yogurt, dark chocolate sauce, crispy baked bacon, nuts. VOILA ! Bacon sundae.0 -
I had a bacon sundae at Good Times awhile back, it was really good, but I dunno that it was the bacon that made it that way. If anything, it just added a more salty taste to the sundae, like adding salted nuts.0

Would it be any different than eating a normal ice cream sundae on a regular basis?0 -
Did it look anything like this?

I would not try this from any fast food place. Fast food bacon is just gross.0 -

Couldn't tell you...I've never tried animal fecal matter...wait...I've never tried human fecal matter either...
But if pig *kitten* tasted like ice cream this would be a much different conversation.0 -

I had bacon jam recently. There's a food truck here in Seattle that makes a burger with bacon jam on it. They take bacon and cook it and then chop it up and reduce it down with some herbs and spices...and whatever else you put in jam. DELICIOUS.0

Recipe (I haven't made it yet - NOT HEALTHY)
Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie with Bacon!!!
Ingredients:
Crust 1 box Pillsbury® refrigerated pie crusts, softened as directed on box
1 egg, beaten
Bacon 6 slices bacon
Chocolate Sauce
1 can (12 oz) evaporated milk
1 bag (12 oz) semisweet chocolate chips (2 cups)
½ cup sugar
1 tablespoon butter or margarine
1 teaspoon vanilla
Cream Cheese-Peanut Butter Filling
1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
1 cup creamy peanut butter
½ cup sugar
1 container (8 oz) frozen whipped topping, thawed
1 large banana
DIRECTIONS
1 Heat oven to 450°F. Place 1 pie crust in ungreased 9-inch glass pie plate. Press crust firmly against side and bottom. Cut star shapes or other desired shapes from second pie crust. Attach to the edge of pie crust in pie plate with beaten egg; brush tops of shapes with beaten egg. Prick bottom and side with fork. Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until light brown. Cool. 2 Reduce oven temperature to 350°F. Arrange bacon slices on ungreased 15x10x1-inch pan. Bake about 15 minutes or until bacon is crisp and brown. Drain on paper towels. Crumble into small bite-size pieces. Reserve half of the bacon pieces for garnish. 3 Meanwhile, in 2-quart saucepan, heat evaporated milk, chocolate chips and 1/2 cup sugar to boiling over medium heat, stirring constantly. Remove from heat, and stir in butter and vanilla; set aside. 4 In large bowl, beat cream cheese, peanut butter and 1/2 cup sugar with electric mixer on medium speed until smooth. Gently stir in whipped topping until combined. 5 Spread 1/2 cup chocolate sauce over cooled crust. Sprinkle half of the bacon pieces over chocolate sauce. Slice banana and arrange over bacon pieces. Spread cream cheese-peanut butter filling over bacon pieces. Drizzle 2 tablespoons chocolate sauce over filling. Sprinkle remaining bacon pieces over top of pie. Refrigerate until ready to serve. Cover and refrigerate any remaining pie.
HELPFUL RECOMMENDATION FROM SOMEONE WHO MADE THIS RECIPE: Make sure bacon is very crisp. Use 1/2 the chocolate sauce or it makes it soggy. I made my own adjustments after making it as the recipe states...I used a chocolate cookie crust. Used 8 pieces of bacon instead of 6. Used 2 bananas instead of 1. Freeze pie for 30 minutes then drizzle Magic Chocolate Shell ice cream topping on top, then moved it to the fridge.0
