FitBit VERSUS BodyMedia - Opinions ??

Hello MFPeeps !

I have a BodyMedia and happen to LOVE it - just don't like how bulky and sometimes uncomfortable it is with the armband... I live in South Florida, and with the lovely warm weather clothes we constantly wear it tends to always be showing. It becomes sometimes annoying to always have to explain what it is.... Yes, I know that some of you up North would be wanting to punch me for complaining of having to wear year round Summer clothes..... :glasses:

Anyways - I just saw that MFP syncs up with FitBit. I have read about it, and it seems like it's a good device, comparable to the BodyMedia -- BUT less bulky. It can even be attached to the center of my bra !

I really only use the BodyMedia for the exercise calorie counting and sleeping - LOVE that it shows me how I sleep. But I enter all my food into MFP. So I have been having to enter data into 2 different sites....

Anyone out there who has both devices and would be willing to share your opinion in comparison between both ? I would love to hear what you have to say.....

Thanks !

i have the fitbit and i LOVE it.... like you said, it attaches to the center of your bra. you'd never know you had it on you. i use it everyday, and i love the fitbit site. it does sync to the MFP stuff, not great, but it serves its purpose. I like the fitbit nutrition part better than mfp, because it shows the % of carbs/protein/fats you've eaten thru the day. luckily the two sites link up good enough that i can get that info from fitbit when i need to look closer at what im eating.

it logs sleep... very well actually. and the best part is the tracking of steps. I can always tell when i have busy days at work, or even busy days off. cuz the flower grows. :D and if im really stuck at my desk throughout the day, i know pretty much every time i get up to go to the bathroom. hahaha :D

The fitbit site also sends you a little weekly report to tell you how many miles you walked or steps you took and the best/worst days of the week.
