How often do you check in?

What the title says. I was wondering how often some of the members weigh themselves?
I'm thinking of staying with weekly, and wondering what others are doing.

I weigh myself every week on Wednesdays and that's the number I write down and log here. I'll weigh myself any other time I feel like I need to check it, but the Wednesday weigh-in is the only one that counts.0

every two to three days0

I weigh myself daily. I used to check in every Tuesday but I've been doing some experimentation with calorie intake, so I haven't checked in for a few weeks.0

Every Monday morning...whether I need it or not.0

Every 2 weeks0

I weigh myself whenever I feel I need to.... but only count the weekly weigh-in numbers. Those daily ups and downs aren't a great indicator of what's happening.0

Exactly, but mine is Sunday a.m.0 -
I weigh myself daily, and when the scale registers a 1 pound loss, I record it.
It's no biggie.
I like to track weight every day, and usually about every 7 days - POW - one pound gone.
Works like a charm.0 -
I weigh myself every day, but I only record it to MFP when I hit a new low.
I find that weighing myself every day, and then charting that weight in Excel, has kept me from getting discouraged, because I can see that (1) my weight fluctuates constantly and an increase of even several pounds might only last one day and (2) that the process isn't linear -- while I average a pound a week loss, the scale isn't dropping a few ounces a day, it's more like I fluctuate between the same 2 numbers for two weeks and then drop down to a new low the next.
I know for a lot of people, a daily weigh-in stresses them out, or they panic whenever the scale goes up even if they know that there are fluctuations, so my way is not for everyone.
I say, weigh as often as you find encouraging. It might be 5 times a day or once a month. Try and see what you like.0 -
Every Tuesday morning!
I used to weigh myself everyday, but it made me crazy.0 -
When I had a lot of weight to lose, I weighted myself everyday first thing in the morning. As I've lost it and slowed the rate of loss down, I weight myself 2 times a week.0

I am a newbie on here (absolutely loving the site and the support of everyone on it!). I have been checking in daily and weighing myself daily. I plan on taking the daily weigh-ins with a grain of salt and will really focus on the weekly results.0

I dont weigh myself.. I fixate too much on the numbers and get depressed/angry when they dont change. So i concentrate on eating healtyh, working out and let my body go where it wants. I'm more interested in how I look and feel than what number I am.0

EVERY MORNING (for the most part) but that's mostly "habit". I only chart my weight when there is "loss"0

Every couple of weeks. I do not own a scale so it removes the obsession. I am watching for other changes such as increase activity, muscle tone and the change in clothing fit.0

Every Sunday0

Once per week.0

Every day.
It actually makes it less stressful for me, because I watch the weight fall back off after a bad weekend.
I track it if it hits a low, and if I maintained 'up' more than a pound for more than a week I'd track that too.0 -

That is a great idea!0 -
Every other Friday I get checked by my company First Sergeant (read boss) to make sure I am in weight standards. This is usually the weight I will record on MFP.0

I've been doing it weekly as well, always on a Thurs. So far I've been losing a pound a week just like site promised0

I used to weigh in once a week but I have been trying to do it daily or every other day lately. I like to look back at my progress charts and look at trends. I wasn't getting the detailed info I wanted from the weekly weigh ins but it's all up to you. Weekly is probably the best since it will give a more accurate long term loss reading. I guess it just depends on what your motivation is and how susceptible you are to what you see on the scale. Good luck!0

I used to weigh in daily, but I found myself getting far too obsessed with the numbers on the scale. Now I weigh in and measure every Monday morning before my run, and it's been working out well for me.0

Once a week on Friday mornings. I don't want to drive myself crazy with any day-to-day fluctuations.0

I weigh myself most mornings, cause I'm curious. If I forget, it's no big deal. I'm in two challenge groups that have weigh-ins -- one on Monday, one on Friday. I record in those groups what I weigh that morning. I post my weight to MFP only when it has gone down, which doesn't seem to be often enough!
I recognize and accept that there are fluctuations. It might be down yesterday, and up by two pounds today. No big deal.
When I get discouraged because it isn't coming off fast enough, I remind myself that I didn't get fat over night, so I can't expect it to come off overnight, either. I remind myself that if I loose it slowly, it will most likely stay off. I remind myself of how much energy I now have; if I eat too little, I will loose that. And, finally, I remind myself that eating the right foods, in the right serving sizes, is the beginning of a journey that will last the rest of my life. It's worth the wait!
Good luck to you all!0 -

First thing every Monday morning, before i workout.0

The Wii Fit gets mad at me if I go a few days without weighing in, but I wait it out a few days if I can. I only record my weight on MFP if I hit a low.0

About once a month. After my cycle or after a rest week to make sure water retention is at it's lowest. With strength training and eating at maintenance, my weight isn't supposed to change much.0
