weight lifting / strength training

looking to get into some weights/ strength training but no idea what i should do, theirs a few machies at the gym i know how to use they are all arm type machies no legg ones, but not sure what to do with the free weights, any help would be greatly appreciated

Maybe things are different now, but when I first started lifting weights at a gym years ago, the owner (small gym) showed me around, gave me demos of different exercises and a chart to use. Here's a website of various lifts using free weights.

I would recommend starting at a low weight to get your form right. If there is no one there to help, make use of the mirrors, make your own charts and keep track of your weight & reps.0 -
theirs no owner per say to show me around i work in an oilcamp in the oilfields so the equiptment is just their for u to use no one to show u around, thanks for the suggestions0
